Learn more about Bitchin’ Gamer Girl

Hello! I’m bitchingamergrl, and this is my blog is going to be about all the video games I’ve played or am playing, and my thoughts /reviews on them.

My very first console was a Nintendo NES. Totally old! My favorite game was Super Mario Bros, and my brother and I would play Duck Hunt too. I didn’t know this at the time, but my brother and I beat Bubble Bobble in one afternoon when we were kids. That was the beginning of my life as a gamer.

When I was 16 I moved in with my mom in Toronto, and lived there for many years not playing video games. It wasn’t until my early 30s when I bought a GameCube. Imagine going from a 2D platformer type console to a console that plays games that can rotate 360 degrees!! It was odd, and I hated it to be quite frank. I don’t know what happened to that console, but I don’t own it anymore.

Almost 9 years go by and no gaming other than the mobile. It’s not the most fun, but eh… Then one day I got hired as a Functionality QA Tester at VMC in Montreal. My little dream of being a video game tester was finally coming true! It was my second time playing the new games that aren’t platformer types, and this time I wasn’t annoyed. I spent 10 months testing one triple A title, and that was fun! What was funny was that about 5 months into testing this one title, I suddenly had the urge to play other games, so I bought a PS3 off of a colleague who wanted a PS4. I could have bought one, but at the time they were already nearly $500 and that was too much for my wallet to handle. So $190 later and 5 games I’m the proud owner of a PS3. 6 months later I now own nearly 28 titles, and 15 more are going to be mailed to me from a friend. Soon I will be investing in a 1TB PlayStation 4, hopefully bundled with one of the cool E3 games announced to be out soon.

This is me in a nutshell, basically. On the day of this blog creation, I’m 38 and an addicted gamer. I test games all day and go home and play games in my spare time.

My blog will be reviews on PS3 games new and old. Basically all the games that I’ve played. I’ll also write about Gameboy games too, since I own many of those.

I hope you enjoy reading my blog!
